Even though JAckie grew up on the windy Devonshire coast, he couldn't help but be blown away when US rapper Roxxteady flew him out to a studio in downtown New York to finish up a mixtape they'd been working on. Unsurprisingly, the kid then realised he should probably be giving this music thing more of a chance. Taking the plunge and dropping his full time job to a 2 day a week affair, boycie now resides in Peckham where he likes blending fruit with veg in the kitchen and futuristic percussion with hauntingly powerful harmonies in the lab. From jump up summer smilers one minute to 6am screwfacers the next, JAckie has a distinct ability to jump from one end of the spectrum to the other without letting his strong signature sound slip in the process. You'll hear exactly what we mean as this critical member of the camp drops a track which looks set to become the Summer anthem of TwoSixtySix followed swiftly by the EP 'Plastic' (inspired by today's throwaway culture) which sinks into a stark contrast.
